Safe swimming areas which are patrolled during the summer months will give parents a moment to revel in the sunshine, whilst littlies frolic amongst the gentle waves. A protected coastline makes Lorne main beach ideal for swimmers of all ages and abilities, with waves averaging at just one meter high. Surrounding facilities include a barbecue, grass areas making Lorne’s beaches ideal for the whole family.

Shelly Beach

Shelly Beach is a quaint and pretty spot to get off the road for a picnic. A very popular fishing spot, boats are launched during calm conditions off the Point Grey boat ramp.

Shelly Beach is popular for strolling across the rocks and searching the rock pools.
